Mexico National Team couldn’t beat USMNT in a game that could have given them the ticket to the 2022 FIFA World Cup, but instead, the game finished in a scoreless draw that doesn’t help much either of the teams in their aspirations of arriving in Qatar 2022.

El Tri let scape the best chance they had to cut the unbeaten streak of the Stars and Stripes, as prior to this game, they had won the last three games they’ve faced each other, but instead, USMNT extended their streak to 4 unbeaten games, the first time in history that it happens.

Although Gerardo “Tata” Martino finally understood and put his best players on the pitch, El Tri didn’t have enough clear plays to open the score sheet, something that the Americans did have, but the lack of aim prevented a victory for them.

The main problem El Tri has showed not only against USMNT but overall, in their recent games is the lack of a striker that can score, as Jiménez needs a complement that either serves him with balls to the box or the other way around, but Martino refuses to call Javier “Chicharito” Hernández, who could perfectly fulfill that role.

The message from LA Galaxy

Not only Mexican followers are asking themselves why Hernández isn’t part of El Tri, but also everyone in LA Galaxy, “Chicharito” Hernández’s current team, as they know the Mexican striker and highest scorer for El Tri is having an outstanding performance in the 2022 MLS Season.

The Galaxy social media even sent a message to Mexico National Team and Gerardo Martino, as they know that the game would have been more appealing with Javier Hernández on the pitch, as nowadays, he’s a synonym of goals.

Will Hernández return to El Tri?

No one is disputing that Javier Hernández is currently the best striker that Mexico has, which is why his absence in El Tri’s roster is incomprehensible, which means that the fact that Martino has erased him from the roster has nothing to do with sporting reasons.

A lot has been said about the veto imposed to “Chicharito” and although neither Martino nor Yon de Luisa have confirmed it, reports suggest that Hernández won’t be part of El Tri given that he was one of the players involved in the discussions that happened during Russia 2018, where they demanded the prizes that were supposed to receive were distributed differently.
