Hirving “Chucky” Lozano has become one of the best Mexican players in Europe after the outstanding performances he had with PSV Eindhoven first and then with SSC Napoli, where he’s played for the last three seasons.

During the time he’s been part of the Azzurri, he’s had an irregular participation, especially because of the rotation Napoli have had in the dugout, as he’s not always of the liking of the coach in turn, although one way or another he always finds his way back into the starting XI.

Carlo Ancelotti was the one that requested his arrival for the 2019-20 season, but after he was sacked, “Chucky” was relegated to the bench during the first months of Gennaro Gattuso’s stint. The Italian former international ended having Lozano as one of the best players in the roster.

Now, with Luciano Spalletti, the team has softened the discipline and it shows, but “Chucky”, who had a hard time at first, has now become yet again one of the best players in the Azzurri roster, which is why he’s been followed by several clubs, including one that wants him to be their next idol.

Which are teams that want to have him for next season?

According to reports, there are teams from Premiere League and La Liga following him, as they need a player with his conditions and on the position that he plays, which has made him one of the players with more probabilities of changing teams over the summer.

The top three teams that are reported to be pursuing him are Real Madrid, as Carlo Ancelotti knows him and what he’s capable of; FC Barcelona, although his arrival will have to wait until the future of Ousmane Dembélé is resolved, and Atlético Madrid, as they need a player to replace the danger that Luis Suárez creates.

But Hirving Lozano still has the option to stay in Italy, and Napoli are not willing to wait for his departure and are ready to offer him a salary increase, from $4.9 million to $5.6 million, which will make him one of the highest-paid players in the roster.

He can become Napoli’s next idol

One of the things that Napoli offers him, aside of the salary increase, is becoming the next idol of the Azzurri, where he could join Diego Armando Maradona and Lorenzo Insigne, as the latter will join MLS side Toronto FC once the current season is over.
