Whether you like him or not, it’s no lie to say that Neymar is one of the best players in the world, and even if he hasn’t been able to help PSG to win the Champions League, the Brazilian striker is one of the most skilled players and is a delight to watch him play.

But the lack of international transcendence with the Parisian club has opened the possibility of a departure at the end of the season, according to reports, as in PSG are not sure that they are going to succeed with him on the roster.

For a couple of seasons, it’s been rumored that Neymar is not comfortable in PSG and has tried to leave the club to return to FC Barcelona but given that the Blaugranas are focused on signing young players, the 30-year-old striker will have to look for a different destination.

And according to reports, that place could be in the Premier League, where he’s been followed closely by Newcastle United, who this season were acquired by the Saudi Arabian Public Investment Fund (PIF), making them the wealthiest team in England.

The Magpies want Neymar to play with Santiago Muñoz

Even if Newcastle United tried to put to good use their money during the winter transfer window, the only high-profile players that they were able to acquire was Kieran Trippier, who arrived from Atlético Madrid, and Bruno Guimaraes, who played for Olympique Lyonnais.

The main problem they faced was the fact that they were in relegation spots and given that they didn’t know if they were going to maintain the category, most of the players that they wanted to hire refused because of the possibility of having to play in Championship next season.

But now that they’re away from the last spots of Premier League, they can acquire some of the top players of the world, like Neymar, and if he arrives, will share the pitch with 19-year-old forward Santiago Muñoz, who has established in the Magpies U-23 starting XI for the current season.

Will Muñoz debut in Premier League?

It took some months for the former Santos Laguna striker to adapt to European soccer, as he was injured when he arrived. But now that he regained his shape, he’s become an immovable in the U-23 squad and has trained regularly with the first team of the Magpies, opening the door for an eventual debut this same season.
