While Hirving “Chucky” Lozano is preparing for the upcoming FIFA match window with Mexico National Team, his future in Europe is looking to be moving away from SS Napoli once the current season is over and getting closer to La Liga.

The coach that will replace Gerardo Martino once the FIFA match window is over

In the past few weeks, he’s been linked to three different La Liga teams, starting for Atlético Madrid, as Diego “Cholo” Simeone is looking for a player that could replace the threat on the pitch that Luis Suárez means for now for Los Colchoneros, given that he’ll leave Atlético once the season is over.

The second team that has been linked to the Mexico international is Real Madrid, not only because there’s uncertainty surrounding the future of Gareth Bale, but also because Carlo Ancelotti was the coach that requested his arrival in 2019 to Napoli and could be looking to have a reunion.

But now, FC Barcelona is on the mix to acquire his services, and even the Blaugrana legend Hristo Stoichkov has talked about his potential addition for the 2022-23 season as a replacement for the French winger Ousmane Dembélé.

What did Stoichkov said about Lozano?

The Belgian former striker criticized Dembélé after the 4-0 victory of Barcelona over Real Madrid in El Clásico last weekend, saying that he’s not a player that feels the colors of the club, because if he did, he’d already agreed to a contract extension.

Dembélé has been target of criticism since he refused to renew his contract with Barcelona prior the winter transfer window, and even Xavi warned him to decide if he wanted to stay or leave, but the Frenchman has postponed his decision until the end of the season.

Can “Chucky” arrive in Barcelona?

Stoichkov pointed that “Chucky” Lozano fulfills all the features that a Barcelona player needs, which is why he would like to have the Mexican right-winger on the Blaugrana squad, especially if Dembélé ends up leaving.

If Lozano were to arrive in Barcelona, the Culés will have to pay at least $50 million, the market value that Napoli has established for his economic rights. His permanent move seems a reality, although it’s yet to be seen to which team he ends up arriving.
