More news about Mexican national soccer team:
The 18-year-old player told the press something that all El Tri fans are thinking about, and that many are dreaming about before the start of the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.
What message did Marcelo Flores send to Gerardo Martino?
The young promise of the Mexican National Soccer Team raised his hand and said he would like to play in the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar. And he said this before shining with his national team before their victory against Uruguay.
"I would like to make my Premier League debut before I turn 19. That's my goal. And I'd like to have my international debut properly with Mexico and, hopefully, participate in the World Cup in Qatar."
With this, the Arsenal youth player revealed his two biggest goals, and also shared who his idols are on the world soccer scene.
"I idolize players like Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo and Neymar, who have done the same. Looking at players like them, you want to match what they did because, like any player, my biggest dream is to win things like the Champions League and the Ballon d'Or."
The player, who was included in the list of Goal media, NXGN 2022 as one of the best teenage footballers in the world, made these comments in an interview for this media and also touched on other topics.
Among them, he highlighted his experience of having already made his debut with the Mexican National Soccer Team in the friendly match that this squad played against Chile last December.
"All the players welcomed me well. Some of them were older, but I was very close to them and trained well. Coming out was a very special moment for me and my family. Thanks to the coach for giving me that opportunity."
Marcelo Flores' numbers
Flores has stood out for two things: the first is to have chosen the Mexican National Team as the national team for which he will play internationally, and the second is to be taking advantage of the opportunities that come his way.
Proof of this is that with Arsenal U18, he played 32 games and in them, he scored 10 goals and provided 5 assists, while with the U20 team of this same squad, he has played 10 games and in them he has scored 4 goals.
