Now that the European leagues are coming to an end, teams are already planning what will be their 2022-23 season, as they are looking to add new players to strengthen their rosters and part ways with the ones that they don’t feel can contribute anything else for the future.

Raúl Jiménez’s successor already plays in Europe but Gerardo Martino refuses to call up him

After the 3-2 defeat against Empoli that left them out of the race for the Serie A title, Napoli has started planning the movements that they will do once the current season is over, as there still are two more games for the Azzurri, against Genoa and Spezia.

Among those movements, Aurelio Di Laurentiis and Luciano Spalletti are planning on parting ways with “Chucky” Hirving Lozano, as he’s one of the players with highest value on the roster and given the economic problems they are going through, his departure could alleviate some of said problems.

But even if they already made him transferable, Spalletti have been thinking for a while to part ways with him, as he doesn’t trust the Mexican winger, a sign that his future is far from Napoli and Serie A, especially now that he has a few teams following him closely.

He already decided where to play

After news broke about his transferable status, several teams were linked to Hirving Lozano, especially from La Liga and Premier League, where Wolverhampton Wanderers were the firsts to show interest and then Liverpool FC.

Lozano knows that he didn’t perform at his best in the current season, which is why he already took a decision regarding his future, as he knows that that decision will define the level that he arrives with at the World Cup, at the end of the year.

During an interview with TV Azteca, Jesús Lozano, his father, said that “Chucky” Lozano plans on staying with Napoli one more season before deciding if he renews with the Azzurri or parts ways with them, as he knows his best chance to perform well in the World Cup will be if he stays on the team he already knows.

Will he arrive at Premier League after?

Given the interest that he’s gathered from Premier League teams for the next summer transfer window, his future points towards the English top-tier division, especially since he’s said in the past that he wants to play for a bigger team than Napoli.
