Is Vela asking for money to return to El Tri? This is the reason behind his absence
Vela spoke about the reasons that are keeping him away from a potential return to Mexico National Team.
Every day that goes by takes Carlos Vela further away from returning to Mexico National Team, not only because the call hasn’t arrived, but out of his will of taking a step back after a confrontation he had with Gerardo “Tata” Martino.
One of the main reasons why Vela isn’t thinking of having another stint with El Tri has to do with the rules Martino has imposed to all the players that join the squad, as discipline is key to the Argentinean coach.
Of course this didn’t sit well with Carlos Vela, who is known for his great displays outside the pitch, something that Martino is trying to avoid, as he prohibited the players leaving the hotel during concentrations. But the thing that Carlos Vela couldn’t stand was that Martino doesn’t allow families to visit the players.

Will he ever return to Mexico National Team?
After Vela wasn’t part of Mexico National Team squad that partook in the Olympics, he said during a press conference that he was stepping away for good from El Tri, something he’s kept his word on so far.
