Although he hasn’t coached a single team since his stint with Liga MX side CF Pachuca in 2012, Hugo Sánchez could potentially return to the soccer industry and leave behind his position as TV analyst, as he knows Mexico National Team is going through a rough patch.

That’s why he shared that he would love to arrive in Mexico National Team, but not as a coach, something he already did in the past but left him with some bitter memories. This time, Hugol thinks that the best position for him would be as sporting director and National Teams coordinator.

When asked about the perfect coach for Mexico National Team, he agreed that Gerardo “Tata” Martino is not the coach that El Tri needs. That’s why he’d convince Jaime Lozano to take over the job as El Tri coach and mend any hurt feelings left by the previous encounter between the Mexican coach and FMF.
