But Gerardo “Tata” Martino hasn’t called him to Mexico National Team even though Luka Romero already said that he’s not closed to playing for El Tri, although he’s currently part of Argentina U-17 squad.

With only 17 years, Luka Romero already has been compared to Messi and most definitely would improve Mexico National Team’s offensive side, as the lack of goals El Tri has showed is worrisome at times, especially in a year where Mexico could miss the World Cup.

Why could Romero play for Mexico or Argentina?

Luka Romero was born in Mexico in 2004, when his father was playing soccer for Alacranes FC, in Mexico’s third division. He also has the Argentinean and Spanish nationality and given he hasn’t played on an official match for La Albiceleste, he could still play for any of the three National Teams.
