Héctor Herrera spoke about the reasons Mexico National Team doesn’t work
He expects that El Tri followers make Estadio Azteca be a factor for the upcoming games.
Although he’s lost the shape that made him one of the best Mexican players after being erased from Atlético Madrid by Diego “Cholo” Simeone, Héctor Herrera is still considered one of the most reliable players in Mexico National Team.
His leadership is usually displayed when he’s on the pitch, as he did in Atlético’s last game against Deportivo Alavés, where he was an essential part of Los Colchoneros come back in the last minutes, but he also shows the same energy out of the pitches, as he did when asked in an interview what was wrong with El Tri.
Herrera answered that one of the main reasons El Tri is having a hard time is their fault as players, given that they don’t have enough time to train together hence their lack of complementation during the matches, but also that neither players nor coach are willing to establish good communication.
What does Herrera expect for the upcoming El Tri games?
The 32-year-old midfielder also explained that El Tri followers don’t push as hard as other nations’ fans, especially in Estadio Azteca, that hasn’t been a factor for Mexico National Team in recent years, as rivals don’t feel threaten by it when they play there.
