It seems like Gerardo “Tata” Martino hasn’t learned from the mistakes he’s made in the past year, where he saw diminished Mexico National Team’s performances to the point of almost losing their ticket to the 2022 FIFA World Cup.

Martino will have to stop calling him after what he said

For the upcoming FIFA match window not only will he call the same players that look lost on the pitch and are slow when they have the ball, but if statistics are correct, he’ll also start two players that don’t even play with their teams, which will decrease El Tri’s offense.

That’s the case with Héctor Herrera, although it’s not his fault that Diego Simeone doesn’t give him time even though Atlético Madrid looks more dangerous when he’s on the pitch, but his lack of regularity has already diminished some of El Tri’s performances.

Who is the second player that Martino will start?

Rumors suggest that Jonathan dos Santos will be Héctor Herrera’s partner in the midfield at least for the next game, which will be against USMNT, a team that, although has lost some of their punch, has characterized for having explosive, fast players, and obvious advantage against two of the slowest players in El Tri.
