The team is in mourning due to the departure of one of its most important references, who served as an inspiration for all the players of the team.

Which Chivas idol passed away today?

Today, a tragedy was announced in Mexican soccer with the news of the death of Javier Valle, a legend of the Campeonísimo, who died at the age of 85. The causes of his death have not been disclosed.

Midfielder Francisco Javier Valle Herrera, born on November 26, 1936, in Sayula, Jalisco, started in the GAF youth teams of the inter-parochial league and later moved on to Guadalajara.

In this club, where he would be consecrated, he participated in the infants, youth, second strength, special, and reserves, and made his debut in the 1960 Gold Cup.

That same year, Valle achieved the dream of every soccer player: to make his debut in the First Division, which he did by replacing "Bigotón" Jasso after his injury, winning his first title that season.

Due to his merits and talent, Valle would become a starter in the midfield alongside Jasso in the 1961-62 season, a tournament in which they won the championship once again.

Javier Valle would also be present in the 1962-63 season title, but in this season he had to compete for the starting position in the team with Javier Barba in the midfield.

Unfortunately for him, he was relegated to the bench for the 1964-65 season and would only play 6 games.

Did Javier Valle play for the Mexican National Team?

Javier Valle was a national team player with Mexico in the Central American Games, Pan American Games, and Olympic Games, besides having participated in the qualifiers held in Peru.

Because of his achievements and merits, this loss is very painful for Chivas del Guadalajara, so through their social networks, they expressed their condolences not only to the player's family but to all their fans in general.

And in the message they displayed in memory of the player, they recalled his achievements in this way: "We regret to inform you of the passing of Don Javier Valle. Midfielder of our very own Campeonísimo, who won 4 League titles, 3 Champion of Champions, one CONCACAF, and one Mexican Cup. We send our condolences to his family and friends, 'Hasta Siempre, Leyenda!".
