Cruz Azul has fired Juan Reynoso and two coaches are being considered to lead La Máquina. The names on the list are Ricardo Ferretti and Hugo Sánchez. However, the former Los Merengues player is currently living in Madrid and has not coached a team for some time, although he has stated that he would be willing to take on the challenge of coaching again.

If Hugo Sánchez becomes Cruz Azul’s next coach, this player will have to leave La Máquina

However, Ricardo Ferreti seems to be a better option for the Cementera squad, since the Brazilian is in Mexico, and in his previous interview for ESPN he stated that he would only coach certain teams as long as they meet certain conditions and Cruz Azul is one of the few teams that can give Ferretti that request, since they have the economic power to be able to sign quality players.

With this in mind, Jaime Ordiales would bet on the former coach of FC Juárez and Tigres, among other teams, and it would be the first time that Tuca would coach Cruz Azul in his entire career. The option of the Brazilian undoubtedly excites the Cementeros, as he is a coach who brings order to the dressing room and delivers efficient results. Although he has been criticized for his style of play, this does not detract from the coach's success.

If Ricardo Ferretti's arrival is confirmed, the Brazilian will ask for reinforcements that he knows very well and that will be of great quality for La Máquina.

Could Gignac join La Máquina?

Actually, the French striker is still under contract with Tigres UANL. Gignac, who has scored more than 150 goals with the Auriazules and won the Liga MX 4 times, is looking for his fifth star under Miguel Herrera.

The former Marseille player's contract expires until June 30, 2024, and for now, he has given no signs of leaving, but the fact of seeing Tuca in a quality team could tempt the Frenchman, however, this fact looks difficult, as Gignac has stated that he could not play for another team in Mexico other than Tigres and that he would even like to retire there.
