Through their social media accounts, fans as well as sports commentators and analysts gave their thoughts on the sanctions and all agreed on one thing.

This is what fans had to say about the punishments that Liga MX imposed on the Gallos Blancos de Querétaro

Fans, commentators and sports analysts agreed that the punishments imposed on the Gallos Blancos de Querétaro were light and will not make a difference in Mexican soccer.

Most internet users stated that the least they expected was that the club would be disqualified and that Liga MX would be suspended for at least one more match day, while what happened was clarified and the culprits of the aggressions were arrested.

The tragedy at the Estadio Corregidora had filled fans and non-fans alike with indignation, and they demanded that the punishment of the soccer club be exemplary.

However, after the sanctions imposed on the club were announced, users of social networks along with sports commentators and analysts said that these measures were not enough and that they were not going to change anything in Mexican soccer

What they expected, according to their tweets and publications, was that the barras would disappear, that the Querétaro club would be disaffiliated and that Liga MX would be on pause while those involved in the aggressions that took place were arrested.

What were the punishments that Liga MX imposed on the Gallos Blancos de Querétaro?

The club returns to Grupo Caliente, which has until 2022 to sell it.

Definitive ban from stadiums for those found guilty of what happened at Estadio Corregidora.
