The alleged culprits are accused of several charges, mainly "attempted homicide", and must now be remanded in custody for a period of 48 to 72 hours, in case their defense requests it, in order to gather evidence and prepare their defense.

The arrests, which are presumed to be around 25, are the result of 21 searches that took place at night in Querétaro. Initially, 26 arrest warrants were issued for the arrest of the suspects. Hours later, the authorities announced that they had 10 detainees.

"In the raids, 82 sportswear items with Queretaro team logos, 4 pairs of tennis shoes -some with possible bloodstains-, 22 cell phones, and different evidence that will contribute to the continuity of the investigations were secured," reported the Prosecutor's Office.

How were the alleged culprits found?

The accused were identified thanks to the statements made by the injured parties, as well as the videos circulating on social networks and the recordings provided by the Gallos de Querétaro club, together with those that Liga MX was able to present.

As of Monday night, two people were still hospitalized at the General Hospital of Queretaro, one in a delicate state of health and another in serious condition, while the rest of those who received medical attention were discharged.

On Tuesday morning, the Mexican Soccer Federation will decide the future of the Gallos de Querétaro, after the violent acts that took place at the Corregidora stadium during the match between Atlas and the Gallos, which went around the world.

The detainees were first submitted to a medical examination and then taken to the San José el Alto prison.
