The winter transfer window has not yet ended and a rumor has gained momentum: the rumor that for the Liga MX 2022, a former Chivas player has seduced Club America.

This is none other than Alejandro Zendejas, a right-winger who was formed in the FC Dallas Academy, and later, in 2016 played with Chivas de Guadalajara.

The player did not manage to consolidate himself in the team, so he left there to go to play for Zacatepec.

He would later try again at Chivas without success, but his luck would change when his contract with the red and white ended and as a free agent, he signed with Necaxa.

According to Mexican media, Santiago Solari, America's coach, is looking for a player to strengthen the team's attack, after the departure of several of his players.

It should be noted that in recent weeks, players such as Sebastian Cordova, Nico Castillo, and Renato Ibarra have already left the team, and they are currently looking for Leo Suarez as well.

Alejandro Zendejas' numbers that seduce Club America

Zendejas had not been able to be regular in Mexican soccer and everything seemed to indicate that his career would not develop much beyond his time with Chivas and Zacatepec.

But fate had a surprise in store for him and just when he arrived at Rayos del Necaxa, the stars aligned and his luck changed.

Zendejas played a total of 17 games in which he scored 6 goals and provided 2 assists in the last season alone!

Before that, the player had already scored two goals in the previous season, and before that in the Apertura 2021, he had already put three goals to his name

In addition to the above, the central midfielder can perform well at both ends of the pitch, and best of all, the player would arrive at the Coapa club as a free agent, making him a real bargain for the team.

But those are not the only ones that the cream blue club loves: the player was one of those who gave his team the most generation of play in the last tournament.

In addition, he was the eighth-best scorer of the tournament, having scored six goals for his team

It should be noted that although these six goals came from penalty kicks, this allowed the player to further strengthen his role in the team.

The possibility of making the Mexican national soccer team is within Zendejas' reach

He will probably not be a star on a par with Gignac or Furch, but Zendejaz managed to complete half of all his dribbles last tournament, and he dared to take nine shots at the opponent's goal.

Although the player has not been called up by Gerardo Martino to play for the Mexican national soccer team, likely, he will now have a chance.

There is no better showcase for a Mexican player than to be with one of the biggest teams in his country, especially if he applies himself so that his numbers are as solid as they were with Los Rayos.

For example, the player showed last season that one of his qualities is defending his area.

The player won more than 46 percent of all the balls he played, made 25 interceptions, and obtained 107 ball recoveries.

With a player like that, it wouldn't be surprising if Gerardo Martino looked to Club America's possible new reinforcement to find that element of security that will allow Mexico to become the CONCACAF Giant once again.
