It was confirmed that Club America was left without the possibility of signing Pablo Solari for Liga MX 2022 because Colo Colo declared him non-transferable.

The Chilean club reached this decision after analyzing how much they will need Solari to play in the Copa Libertadores, so they rejected the Aguilas' offer and decided to keep the Argentine striker.

The club argued that the player is fundamental for the squad, especially now that they will be playing in the South American club competition, although they assured that in the future they could let the player leave.

However, they pointed out that for the moment Solari's performance in the South American tournament is a priority. On the subject in general, the president of the Chilean club, Edmundo Valladares, stated:

"It has been proposed to the board of directors of Blanco y Negro to declare our player Pablo Solari non-transferable, while Colo Colo is playing Copa Libertadores de America; this proposal has been approved. We consider that a player of Pablo's category will continue to receive offers in the future, it is part of soccer, but we have decided to bet on giving a signal to strengthen Colo Colo's sports project and this is the way from now on".

Valladares' statement was spread on social networks as the possible transfer of the player was a topic of great interest not only for Club America fans but also for Colo Colo Colo fans.

This was going to be the bomb reinforcement of the Coapa club for Liga MX 2022 because until now they had concentrated on reinforcing their defense and midfield.

They had already brought in Diego Valdés and Jonathan dos Santos and hoped to do the same with Solari to strengthen the team's attack.

However, after declining this last offer for the player, Club America decided not to insist anymore and gave up on the player

How were the negotiations to get Pablo Solari?

Club America had fought for the Argentine striker and at the beginning, it looked like the deal would go through without a hitch.

The Coapa club made the first offer for Pablo Solari, which was rejected by the "Cacique" board.

As a result of this, the Aguilas presented a second offer, which at first seemed to be taken into account by the Chilean club.

In this second offer, the Aguilas offered 4 million dollars for 80 percent of the player's pass, according to what was reported by journalist César Luis Merlo.

But after this second offer was rejected, Club America decided not to insist anymore and finally declined to try again, so the striker will stay in Colo Colo to play the Copa Libertadores.

Club America's confirmed reinforcements so far

For Liga MX 2022, the Aguilas have already presented most of their reinforcements and some of them have already made their debut in the first team in a friendly match

They are Jonathan dos Santos and Diego Valdés, who have already experienced their first minutes with Azulcremas, in the friendly match that the club played against Atlante.

A third confirmed reinforcement is Mauro Lainez, Diego's older brother, who is already part of the club.

And Mexican media reports state that Jorge Meré and Alejandro Zendejas will be presented in a few hours as the club's new reinforcements.
