Now that Las Águilas officially announced that they have named Fernando “Tano” Ortíz as their new coach thanks to the outstanding performances that they had with him as interim coach during last season, they can start planning the 2022-23 Liga MX Season.

One of the first movements that Ortíz is looking to do is to strengthen the Azulcrema attack, ands reports from Frecuencia Deportiva suggest that Las Águilas are interested in acquiring Julián Quiñones from Atlas FC, although they know that if they want to convince Los Rojinegros to let go one of their key players, they will have to present a good offer.

Las Águilas are willing to send three players to Atlas

In El Nido they know that the asking price for Quiñones’s economic rights will be high, which is why they are willing to swap players instead, starting with Federico Viñas as a replacement for Quiñones, to not leave Atlas without a complement for Julio Furch.

Along Viñas, they are also willing to trade Bruno Valdez, as the Paraguayan has asked for his transfer and Atlas could be a good place for him to continue his career. In addition, Juan Ferney Otero will also be on the list of players that can join Atlas, as the right-winger couldn’t adapt to América, given that he was a whim of Santiago Solari instead of a player that they actually needed.
