After being benched by Marcelo Michel Leaño for a YouTube/podcast he has, in which he talks with other Chivas players and former teammates about their day to day, something that Chivas’ coach is against to, as he prefers to keep the confidentiality of Chivas camp to himself, Jesús “Canelo” Angulo’s days with El Rebaño seem to be coming to an end.

Jesús “Canelo” Angulo is headed to Orlando City, according to reports
On recent days, reports have linked the 24-year-old offensive midfielder to MLS side Orlando City SC, as the Lions coach, Óscar Pareja, has personally requested the addition of “Canelo”, with whom he worked when he was coaching Tijuana Xolos.
Chivas is not considering letting him go for less than $8 million, something that Orlando City will have to negotiate, as they just recently acquired Uruguayan Facundo Torres. But in Chivas, they already know what they’ll do once Angulo leaves, and the best part of it is that they won’t have to spend a single dollar, as Sebastián Pérez Bouquet is part of their academy teams.

This is the reason why Michel Leaño decided to bench Jesús Angulo
The 18-year-old midfielder already had his debut in Mexico’s top flight in the current season, in the opening Clausura 2022 match against Mazatlán FC, in El Rebaño’s 3-0 victory over Los Cañoneros. His talent on the pitch made him a target of Manchester City academy team when he was younger.
