Renan Augusto Lodi dos Santos was born in Serrana, São Paulo State in Brazil on April 8, 1998. Also known only as Renan Lodi, is a Brazilian footballer. He plays as a defender and his current team is Atlético Madrid of the First Division of Spain. He has been a full international for the Brazil national soccer team since 2019.

Renan Lodi's career

Renan Lodi joined Athletico Paranaense's youth team in 2012 and moved up to the first team in 2016, making his professional soccer debut on October 14 of that year against Grêmio for the 2016 Brazilian Championship.

After having no participation in the 2017 season, the 2018 campaign meant for Renan Lodi his promotion to professional soccer. He achieved his first title with Athletico Paranaense when he won the 2018 Paranaense Championship, already settling as a starter and playing the two finals against Coritiba. 

By then 19-year-old Lodi had already extended his contract until March 2021. Similarly, it made its international debut at the club level by being crowned champion of the 2018 Copa Sudamericana. 

On June 28, 2019, Atlético de Madrid and Athletico Paranaense reached an agreement in principle, making his signing official on July 7 of the same year, with Lodi signing a six-year contract with the Spanish club. His transfer was worth around 20 million euros.

On August 18, 2019, Renan Lodi made his debut at the start of the 2019-20 Spanish Primera Division against Getafe. The Brazilian was part of the LaLiga champion team in the 2020/21 season.
