Lionel Messi has mansions in designated locations across cities where he lives or has played. His main house is in Barcelona where he has spent the majority of his career until he moved recently to join Paris Saint-Germain, where he recently found a new house to rent and stay with his family, moving away from the hotel he has been living in since he got to Paris.

 

The suspicion raised and hint given about where Lionel Messi could play next in his career is that he has a mansion in Rosario , province of Santa Fe, Argentina. Could this be a hint of where Messi will play next? No, it is normal for the greates footballer of all time to have a home in his country, and it is reported that Messi spends his festive period in the house in Rosario.

 

What has Messi said about playing for Newell's Old Boys

Lionel Messi has not hidden his desire to play for his boyhood club again and has talked about it in different interviews. “I always said I wanted to play in Argentine football one day, I don’t know if it will happen but I have it in my mind. It would be at Newell’s, nowhere else. I would like to do that for at least six months, but you never know what will happen.”

Having a house in Rosario, Argentina gives no hint about where Lionel Messi will play next, it is even near impossible that Messi will play for Newell's again, at 34 he just left Barcelona to join PSG, by the end of his contract at PSG, he would be 36 and has also expressed desire to play in the Major League Soccer or he could consider retirement as he said in his 2019 Ballon d'Or speech acceptance.

Early 2021, Lionel Messi acquired a mansion in Miami, USA worth £5m. The house is the Porsche Tower which Messi reportedly bought because of its privacy which the Argentine loves. There were rumours he could play in MLS with David Beckham's Inter Miami CF as his possibke destination, having a house in the city further fuelled the rumour then, but eventually Messi did not go to USA, he went to Paris.
