What robberies has Benzema suffered in Madrid?

In total, the French striker has been robbed twice since arriving in Madrid. The first was on February 28, 2019, when he played for Real Madrid in the second leg of the Copa del Rey semifinals against FC Barcelona.

On that occasion, a group of thieves broke into his house and took all kinds of luxuries, such as trophies of the striker, jewelry, money he had kept for years, family heirlooms, among other things. It is estimated that in this robbery, Karim lost around 20,000 euros.

The latest round is recent and quite similar. It was on January 24, 2022, while the player was participating in the match against Elche at the Santiago Bernabeu. A group of armed people broke into the captain's home and ransacked a large part of the place.

The robbery took place between 15:00 and 19:00 hours at the player's home in the Madrid municipality of San Sebastián los Reyes. Investigations indicate that the thieves jumped the fences of the outer perimeter of the house from the back and accessed the garden through the pool area. They then broke the shutters and the window to enter the house.
