Cristiano Ronaldo is, with not a single doubt, one of the best soccer players of the last decades. The Portuguese attacker has played for Juventus, Real Madrid, Manchester United, Sporting CP and his national team, gaining very important titles and scoring a ridiculous number of goals.
On July 2018, he decided to leave the Galacticos after almost 10 years at the club and joined Juve for $120 million. The level of CR7 was still incredible in his new club, in which he scored 84 goals and gave 20 assists after 107 official matches played. But time passes, Cristiano is already 35 years old and his value is not the same as a couple of years ago.
Considering that the age is a very important factor when appraising soccer players, the striker has been overcome by other players on the ranking on the Serie A most expensive players. The one leading is Romelu Lukaku (Inter), with a reported value of $90 million. Following him, we find Matthij de Ligt (Juventus), with $75 million, and Lautaro Martínez (Inter), with $70 million.
Where do we find Cristiano on this ranking? Eight, with a reported value of $60 million. Still above him, we find Sergej Milinkovic-Savic (Lazio) and Paulo Dybala (Juventus), both valuated at $70 million, and Gianluigi Donnarumma (AC Milan) and Kalidou Koulibaly (Napoli), both valuated at $65 million. All the numbers were published by specialized website Transfermarkt.
