Yesterday Bayern Munich made official that Alphonso Davies will be out of the pitches for an undetermined period of time after getting diagnosed with a myocarditis, something that can happen both after getting vaccinated or when recovering from Covid.

The reports suggest that he’ll miss at least four weeks, depending on the evolution of the myocarditis, something Bayern Munich medical staff will be monitoring in the subsequent weeks, as he’ll undergo a weekly MRI to see how the inflammation is doing.

The 21-year-old Canadian left-back got his covid vaccine booster back in December, but it was a month later, after he tested positive and recovered from Covid that the MRI indicated he had a mild myocarditis, meaning that, at least in his case, the myocarditis is not related to the vaccination.

When will Davies be back?

So far, Alphonso Davies has missed half of January since testing positive and after being diagnosed with the inflammation of the heart muscle, and he’ll likely miss one more month unless something else happens, but with the right treatment and medical attention, he’ll be able to return to the pitches.
