Zinedine Zidane will kick out from Real Madrid a player he once loved

Time passes. At some point, some players were great. But after some years, they are not that great. And Zinedine Zidane is watching how this process is taking place at his own squad, at Real Madrid. So he must make difficult decisions regarding players that he helped to become world class.

Marcelo and Isco have spent many successful years at the club, and will leave because they are not getting playtime after being the best of the world in their positions. And that will be the case of a player that Zidane himself recommended for the club even before managing them, but despite being a starter he is not the same anymore.

That is the case of Raphael Varane. He was absolutely not available to be shipped out a couple of years ago, but now the club is open to hear offers from other clubs. The French World Cup winner might be available in exchange for 50 million euro, and there is interest from Bayern Munich, Chelsea and Manchester United.

Varane is 27 years old and played 377 games with Real Madrid, being arrived there after his current coach suggested him in 2011. This could be the end of an era, and Zizou will be surely feeling some pain seeing how he has to get rid of the players he once protected and improved.
