Why is FC Barcelona's transfer market one of the worst in the whole world?
Even though Messi finally stayed, Barça complete a window in which four players left for free.
FC Barcelona was on fire during this transfer market. First, Lionel Messi pushed to leave the club, but he was trapped by president Josep María Bartomeu and couldn't exit. But even though La Pulga in staying, Barça did lose a bunch of great players, and many of them left for free.+
To start we need to say that Luis Suárez, Ivan Rakitic, Arturo Vidal left without leaving a single penny to the club. That list has now been joined by Rafinha, who's move to PSG for free is a deal done. Arthur, Nélson Semedo, Carles Pérez and Marc Cucurella also left the club in this transfer window.
Those who arrived seem not to be able to cover those who left: Miralem Pjanic, Tricano, Sergiño Dest, Matheus Fernandes and Pedri are the new faces in Ronald Koeman's squad. All in all, Barcelona lost eight players and incorporated only five.
Barça made a huge step backwards in this transfer market, even though the season is yet starting and the results to overcame aren't very hard.
