Since 2016, Cruz Azul hadn't experienced a scoring drought like the current one in the 2020 Guardians of Liga MX. Last Saturday's defeat without scoring goals against Tigres consummated the third consecutive game without converting for those led by Robert Dante Siboldi, who must urgently make changes to solve this problem.

And it is that the club suffers from the offensive dependence of Jonathan Rodríguez since when Rodriguez does not score, the team can't find their way to the opposite goal. Every time 'El Cabecita' does not score, 'La Maquina' loses. This has been the case throughout the semester, and it is that in the four games in which the Uruguayan did not convert, Cruz Azul failed to win.

Given the soccer downturn that the Uruguayan striker has had, Cruz Azul has been affected by the lack of another gunner to take a step forward in front of goal. That is why Siboldi must make use of Jonathan Borja, the Ecuadorian player who hasn't received many opportunities since his arrival in January.

The Ecuadorian striker is, according to his teammates, one of the most talented footballers in the squad, so his inclusion in the line-ups could solve more than one problem for the coach. Despite the good image that Borja has within the squad and the institution, the South American has only played 19 minutes in the current championship. And in the last championship, before his definitive suspension, he only played two games in the Concachampions, in which he made his debut as a scorer.
