According to a report elaborated by Global Data, a platform specialized in data analysis and market values, the Premier League is the most profitable European league thanks to the sponsorships inserted on the clubs' shirts. In total, companies invest 344 million euros per season in this sponsorships.

The report also shows that the German Bundesliga is the second league which receives more money out of their shirt sponsors. In total, German teams receive 185 million euros per season. Then, in third place comes the Spanish La Liga, with a total of 178 million euros collected per season. The French Ligue 1 is in fourth place and the Italian Serie A is in fifth place.

In this way, the leadership of the Premier League in world soccer is evident. This year, the consulting firm Deloitte had published the ranking of the 20 soccer clubs that earned the most money. Eight teams from England appeared on the list (Manchester United, Manchester City, Liverpool, Tottenham, Chelsea, Arsenal, West Ham and Everton).

It must be said that because the Premier League is the most watched league in the world brands are really interested in appearing on the shirts of English clubs because of the world fame that this brings. Of the total number of sponsors in the Premier League, 40% are betting companies, 15% are motor racing companies, 10% are banks, 10% are travel companies and 5% are insurance companies.
