Lionel Messi’s future is a huge mystery. The Argentinian star tried to leave FC Barcelona during the last transfer window, but president Josep María Bartomeu denied him that possibility. After the departure of Bartomeu, and getting near to the time in which Messi’s contract ends, his exit may be now for real.
Messi arrived Barcelona almost 20 years ago. He did a test on the club and started playing for La Masía. After getting his first salaries, he bought a huge house on Castelldefels that was remodeled almost from zero. The mansion cost him and his family almost $3 million when bought many years ago.
In that house, Messi lived very great experiences. He shared unforgettable times with his friends Luis Suárez, Mascherano and Neymar. He also raised his three sons, Mateo, Thiago and Ciro, with his wife Antonela Roccuzzo in the building. A construction where he passed his life.
But, if Messi finally leaves, the house may be orphaned. Manchester City seems to be the best option for Messi at the end of his career and if the transfer finally occurs, he will need to do something with the mansion where he currently lives at Castelldefels. Maybe rent it could be an option, as he always said that he would love to live at Barcelona after retirement.
