Thousands of fans gathered at Old Trafford to witness the second debut of Cristiano Ronaldo today. When Ronaldo would make his first debut as a 19-year-old, he was not the star attraction, but today he was the reason everybody came to the Stadium to watch his homecoming. Cristiano Ronaldo made his debut against Newcastle United on Matchday 4 of the English Premier League during the 15:00 (UK time) start at the Old Trafford.

The debut of Cristiano Ronaldo attracted many fans from far and near to witness the phenomenal event in real-time. The streets of Manchester had been full hours before the match with many fans wanting to buy one Cristiano Ronaldo memorabilia or the other. The occasion attracted a full 76,000 Old Trafford with thousands of them as tourists. 

The tourism aspect of the game saw fans from various countries like India, Chile, Pakistan, Nigeria and China that watched the game live or that tuned in for the match. The potential for tourism grew by up to 300% due to Cristiano Ronaldo's debut. Many allied industries were also running full-time such as hotels, restaurants and other tourism outlets.
