Since Leonardo Fernández arrived at Tigres UANL in June 2020, Leonardo Fernández has not been able to become a key player in the team coached by Ricardo Ferretti. He usually goes to the bench in every game and that situation is making him angry. That's why the midfielder is willing to listen to offers.

Although there is nothing concrete yet, the Mexican press claims that Club America is interested in hiring the 21-year-old player in the upcoming winter transfer window. In this way, Los Felinos and the team managed by Miguel Herrera would be willing to make a deal.

Ricardo Ferretti would be interested in buying the Ecuadorian midfielder Renato Ibarra, who left América in March 2020 and joined Atlas on a loan agreement of one year until July 2020. In this sense, Fernandez could sign a contract with Las Aguilas, while Ibarra would go to Los Felinos.

Since his arrival in Tigres in July 2020, Leonardo Fernandez has scored only one goal and given two assists in 11 games. During 2019, he had a great performance in Toluca: he scored eight goals and gave two assists in 14 games. However,  he is not having a great time in Tigres and that is why he is not in the 66-year-old coach's consideration.
