He starred one of the most expensive transfers of the summer 2020. Both club and player struggled a lot for the move to happen, but after that there was disappointment everywhere. It looks like something that could have happened at FC Barcelona but no, this is about the current best team in the world.

He signed for Bayern Munich while recovering from a long term injury that took him out of action for a whole year. Unfortunately for him, that serious injury delayed the transfer for one year, and in that period his current team won the treble (UEFA Champions League, Bundesliga and DFB Pokal) while he was doing rehabilitation.

This player is Leroy Sane. He was key for Manchester City when the team destroyed Premier League in the season 2017/2018 with a record of points. Pep Guardiola stop relying on him that much and benched. Sane wanted to leave and before he could, he suffered that injury and he never was the same again.

When fit and confident, Sane was a fast and skilled left winger, and expert on crosses and finding spaces. In that time, the €60 million would have been more than justified but now, not that much. If he does not return to being what he was a couple of years ago, Bayern Munich will seriously think about selling him.
