The future of Sergio Aguero remains unknown and will depend on what Manchester City decides to do with the player. The contract of the striker with the club ends on June 2021, which means that he could be leaving for free in less than six months. Until now, there were no options of renewing the contract of the best-paid player of the team.

Pep Guardiola knows that loosing Aguero is a possibility now and is already working to know who could replace him. Being the all-time top-scorer of the club, Kun won’t be easy to replace, but there are some young talented attackers that could have a try. One of them is called the new Luis Suárez, due to his nationality and his similar conditions to the no. 9.

His name is Darwin Núñez, he is only 21 years old and plays for Benfica. The forward was formed in Peñarol, then passed to UD Almería and arrived to the Portuguese side on September 2020 for $25 million. With his national team he already played four games, scoring a pair of goals.

Often, Núñez is called the new Suárez and his conditions to score were already proven. Manchester City has him in the radar to replace Aguero, while the other possible signings that the Premier League team could make are Erling Haaland or Romelu Lukaku. Nowadays, Darwin has a reported value of $30 million, and he could be a player to buy and exploit in the future for the Citizens.
