Champions League round of 16 has been drawn and there are some very interesting clashes to watch. The best one, as fans soccer all over the world agreed on social media, is the one that FC Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain will have on February 16 and March 9. A tremendous clash of an historic team and another one facing an incredible moment during the last years.
But despite the teams, all the flashes will point the two stars of both sides: Lionel Messi and Neymar. Great friends who shared a lot of time together when they played for the Catalan side, they are now going to a duel from which only one could end as a winner. A story of friendship transformed into a rivalry for two nights.
Neymar has just suffered a tremendous injury, after a tackle from compatriot Thiago Mendes on the game in which PSG faced Olympique Lyon for Ligue 1. Even thought it wasn’t confirmed how much time he will be out, the attacker left the field crying and it is said that he won’t be having things easy to recover.
A couple of minutes after knowing that his team was going to play against Barça on UCL, Ney posted an image on Instagram stories in which he wrote that he was going to try to recover as fast as possible and to return to the pitch, what was seen as many fans of PSG as a clear message to Messi and his intentions on coming back to face Barcelona.
The round of 16 is on fire
Even though the games between Barcelona and PSG will be the most interesting ones on Champions League round of 16, there are also clashes to take a look at. Atlético de Madrid will play against Chelsea, Manchester City vs. Borussia M’Gladbach, Bayern Munich vs. Lazio, Liverpool vs. Leipzig, Real Madrid vs. Atalanta, Juventus vs. Porto and Sevilla vs. Borussia Dortmund.
