The match of the quarter-finals of Guard1anes could bring real problem to Mexico.

In an unusual year, Chivas will be facing Club America on the quarter-finals of tournament Guard1anes. They’ll first play on stadium Akron, at Jalisco, on November 26 and three days afterwards the second match. Both teams will have a lot to play for as they will look for the qualification to the next round.

During the last hours it was known that the government of Jalisco, state where the game will be played, approved the presence of fans in the stadium. It is now official that 15% of the stadium will be full, as 6,800 fans are going to be capable of entering the stadium on the first match on Thursday.

Everything is part of a trial that the government is making while trying to know is public could return to stadiums without suffering any drastic consequences. There will be some measures taken due to the COVID-19 pandemic: fans will wear a mask in every moment, they’ll leave eight seating frees between them and some will be tested.

Chivas is trying to save a season in which they made a very bad regular campaign, after finishing seventh. Víctor Vucetich had to take tough measures to control the squad and axed many players during the campaign for committing undisciplined acts.
