Ronald Koeman is facing a crucial moment at FC Barcelona. The head coach couldn’t show great performances of his team so far this season and is betting hard to the Champions League. The Catalan side will try to win the international competition for the first time in five years and Paris Saint-Germain will be their rivals on the Round of 16.

The Dutch coach is working hard to know who are the best players to have in consideration in his squad for those very important matches and there are three that he thinks that are disposable. Catalan press reported that Koeman told Riqui Puig, Carles Aleñá and Samuel Umtiti that they are no longer needed.

The three players will now need to look for a cub to play at, as Barça won’t let them all out for free. That would mean a give-away of players, and in the financial situation that the club is at, such a thing is impossible to think. Some could move in loans and then return in the future for another chance.

The most emblematic and polemic case of those three is the one of Riqui Puig. Set to be the new midfielder formed in La Masía, the wonderkid couldn’t fit in the team and wasn’t useful for the coach in key matches. In the start of the campaign, he told him to find another club, but after the chaos generated by fans he had to stay.
