Antoine Griezmann career changed a lot since his arrival to FC Barcelona. The French attacker couldn’t perform in the Catalan side as he did in Atlético de Madrid and things were never the same for him. Barcelona paid $120 million for him on July 2019 and couldn’t take advantage of his condition.

After more than a year, Barcelona is seriously considering on sending Griezmann back to Atlético de Madrid. Diego Simeone thinks that the French forward is one of the best players at Laliga and would love to have him back. The attacker as well consider it a good move.

During the last months, Atlético de Madrid tried to recover Griezmann and offered Barcelona a barter for Mario Hermoso, Thomas Lemar and Álvaro Morata, which was rejected by ex-president Josep María Bartomeu. The negotiation didn’t advance but could be refloated soon.

Griezmann is 29 years old and signed a contract with Barcelona until June 2024. After 58 games played with his new club, he scored 17 goals and gave five assists. If things don’t advance in the way he may be thinking, returning to Atlético de Madrid, where was once happy, could be a good option at the end.
