Neymar is set to be the inheritor of Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo in soccer world. Aged 28, the Brazilian star has recently signed a new contract that makes him the player who earns the most amount of money from a sportswear in the whole world. The new agreement has been made with the German brand Puma.

Ney left Nike, brand that he used since 2005 when he played for Santos, to sign with Puma for the amount of €25 million per season. In this way, he transformed himself in the player with the highest contract related to a brand. It is clear that he will be the best -or one of the best- players in the world after the retirement of Messi and Cristiano and Puma wanted to take advantage of that situation.

Until now, Messi was the one with the highest contract with a brand, signed with Nike for €20 million per season with Adidas, the one that he used during mostly all of his career except his very first years. Cristiano is a Nike athlete for something like €17 million.

All the numbers were published by Forbes. Puma is now making a huge investment at soccer. Before signing Neymar they also had some top figures of the world, such as Antoine Griezmann, Sergio Agüero or Romelu Lukaku and top teams, such as Milan.
