Chivas is facing a very hard moment. The Mexican side couldn’t make what was intended to on the tournament Guard1anes and stand now at the eighth position after 16 games played and 23 points earned. With one game remaining, the team coach by Víctor Vucetich have no chances to make it into the top four and will play the playoffs.
But, there are some other problems that those going on at the field. Dieter Villalpando, Eduardo López, Alexis Peña and José Juan Vázquez were separated from the first team after indiscipline problems. All four players didn’t join the training and will be out of the game against Monterrey.
Rafael Lebrija, who was once Chivas president, blamed Chivas captain Jesús Molina for the behavior of his teammates, saying that he should resign now. The ex-president affirmed that those undisciplined players are mocking the club and that the captain was responsible for letting them do so.
Molina said some weeks ago that he felt responsible for the behavior of his companions. Aged 32, he is Chivas captain and has played 14 out of 16 games played so far this season, scoring only two goals. The midfielder arrived to the club on January 2019, when Chivas signed him after paying $3 million to Monterrey.
