Lautaro Martínez has always been a player interesting for FC Barcelona. Sport advisers from the Catalan side never hided their intentions on signing him, but Inter may things very difficult for them. The COVID-19 pandemic provoked a crisis on the LaLiga side and now the chances of his transfer is lower.

The waste of money in players such as Antoine Griezmann or Ousmane Dembélé make that Barcelona have now to take a break from spending million in the transfer window. But Lautaro Martínez has always shown his interest on going to Barça and playing with his compatriot Lionel Messi.

Now the player is negotiating with Inter the renewal of his contract and wants to leave a door open to move to Barcelona. The Argentinian pretends that the release clause that he has stays at $110 million while the club think that it should be eliminated. Until now, both parts are negotiating.

The contract of the attacker with the Serie A team ends on June 2023, but they are making a renewal as he is one of the worst paid players on the club and deserves a higher contract. Aged 23, Martínez arrived to Inter on July 2018, when the club paid $25 million to Racing Club former side for him.
