Pep Guardiola's team has now won 12 consecutive matches away from the Etihad, setting an English record. Manchester City's dominance away from home continued this Wednesday, when his side, took down Borussia Monchengladbach 2-0, in the Puskás Aréna from Hungary, Budapest. With this new triumph, the Blues surpassed the previous mark, also held by Manchester City, who won 11 straight away games in 2017.

The goals from Bernardo Silva and Gabriel Jesús gave Pep Guardiola, a coach used to winning, a new smile. His unbeatable numbers in Barcelona, and his mark at Bayern Munich, show what his team is capable of, when he is sitting on the bench. However, since he arrived at Manchester City, which was a challenge in the previous one, since he was exposed to the most competitive league in the world, he does not stop breaking records and has, with today's, 18.

Among his main milestones, we can find the one with the highest margin of points in a league, as he was champion in 2018, with a difference of 19 points against his guard and main competitor, Manchester United. In addition, the most points scored in an English league season, with 100 units. What´s more, most league wins in one season. Guardiola holds the record in 2 different seasons as a Manchester City manager. Either in the 2017/18 and 2018/19 seasons (in both he was champion) he achieved 32 victories.

However, it seems that Joseph Guardiola had no limits. Despite everything that has been achieved, he is now looking for a new milestone, which will crown him beyond the English borders, and leave a mark on the entire European territory. Thus, with an imposing streak of 19 consecutive victories, and 25 games without knowing defeat, they are looking to extend their unbeaten campaign, and demolish the current record of 27 wins in a row that, once, was added by The New Welsh Saints in 2016-17.

Manchester City and the illusion of achieving its first champions league

Pointers in the premier league, and with a considerable difference of 10 points over the second, everything indicates that they will be the next champions of the maximum competition in England. However, it seems that that is not enough, since the debt of winning their first Champions League is in force. Today, they took a big step towards the quarterfinals, which would position them within the best 8 on the continent. Can they do it?
