The new Neymar for whom Real Madrid paid millions and Zidane wants to axe

Zinedine Zidane is not having his best season at Real Madrid and is trying to find someone to blame for the bad performances of the team. With such a budget, the results obtained so far this season by the Spanish side are not the ones expected and president Florentino Pérez is even thinking on the future of Zizou.

One of the players that could be axed after such a bad start of the campaign is Vinicius Junior. The Brazilian attacker arrived to the club as the new Neymar, but his level was far away from the one of his compatriots. With just 20 years he has still a long way to go in world soccer, but Real Madrid needs top performances right now.

Vini has played 25 matches during the 2020/21 season, scoring just three goals and giving three assists. Those numbers are very poor for a wonder kid who arrived for almost $50 million on July 2018, when the Galacticos signed him from Flamengo. With a contract lasting until June 2025, there are chances of him leaving now.

Selling him is not the most likeable option, as no club will pay such an amount of money for a player these days, due to the COVID-19 pandemic. A loan is a good option for him to move, as many international clubs would love to count with a forward of his conditions.
