FC Barcelona had made very bad signings during the past years. The club brought some mega stars that didn’t perform as expected, as Antoine Griezmann, or some other low-profile players who were not at level expected, as Martin Braithwaite or so. A bad transfer policy provoked the huge chaos in which the club is now involved.

One of those players for whom Barça invested a lot and was expecting to even be the successor of Lionel Messi was Philippe Coutinho. The Brazilian attacker arrived on January 2018 from Liverpool for the fortune of $150 million and was never the same when playing with his new jersey.

At first, Barcelona decided to let him out in a loan, and he went to Bayern Munich, but after coming back the news are even worse. In the game in which Ronald Koeman team tied against Eibar, Coutinho suffered an injury and will be operated in his left knee, losing the next matches.

Since his arrival in the club, the Brazilian played 90 games, scoring 23 goals and giving 14 assists. At Liverpool, he had 54 goals and 45 assists on 201 games played. Previously he also passed through Vasco da Gama former side, Inter and RCD Espanyol, adding Barcelona, Bayern and Liverpool to the list.
