The new Andrés Iniesta that Koeman axed and Ibrahimovic wants to steal from FC Barcelona for his AC Milan

Since Andrés Iniesta left FC Barcelona, the Catalan side has been working hard to find his replacement. The Spanish midfielder made an incredible duo as a midfielder aside Xavi Hernández, but after their departure things have changed a lot in the club, that could never achieve to play as they once did.

One of those who was supposed to be the new Iniesta and in which there was a lot of faith deposited is Riqui Puig. Born in Matadepera, the wonderkid joined the first team definitively in July of this year, but didn’t have as many chances as he expected to. Since his debut, he played 19 matches, scoring no goals and giving three assists.

Riqui has a polemical relationship with head coach Ronald Koeman, who thinks his attitudes are not the best ones and many times challenged him on the locker room in front of his teammates. As he wants to play more minutes and advance in his career, the midfielder is seriously thinking on leaving.

With a contract until 2021, the clearest chance for Puig is to move on a loan. AC Milan has already started the talks with Barça to know if they can sign the youngster, and it is said by Italia press that Zlatan Ibrahimovic himself would love to have him in his team, as he thinks such a player is needed.
