The last love gesture Lionel Messi gave to FC Barcelona

Lionel Messi has spent almost 20 years at FC Barcelona. He is a man of the club. Since he was a kid he got the values and traditions of La Masia and into the first team, he established himself as the best soccer player ever, or at least one of the best, and all of that thanks to the club.

But he is set to leave. The official decision has not been made yet, but everything points at a departure. Messi knows these could be the last months at the club he loves so much and decided to make one last gesture of gratefulness to the club who made of him the man he is.

Messi had asked for permission for come back from vacations on January 1st and that permission was granted, but he chose to come back earlier and cheer his teammates from the stands in the match FC Barcelona drew 1-1 versus Eibar. He took his private plane from Rosario to Barcelona, and nobody asked him to.

It looks like this GOAT is feeling that every minute counts. He is processing the farewell, and wants to leave in the best possible terms. It does not matter if he leaves to Manchester City or Paris Saint-Germain, or a MLS team like Inter Miami or New York City, Lionel Messi wants to live the now, and the now is in FC Barcelona.
