In order to make the game better and to improve its conditions, the International Football Association Board (IFAB) is always thinking on new rules to bring to soccer. This year, there is a rule that is being evaluated and that the Premier League is set to try during its next season.

After the approval of the IFAB, it's a matter of time for the trials to start. The new key rule regards injured players and wants to allow additional permanent substitutes for every player in the field who suffered a potential concussion and may need medical attention rapidly.

This new rule will allow doctors to work faster on players and reduce the damage that some hits of the game may produce. January 2021 is set as the day in which this new modification may start to be had place, at least at Premier League. The rest of the top European leagues are supposed to wait and see the results on England in order to join the initiative.

Until now, players who get damaged have to wait until the referee allows medical attention. If things change, the ref will not have to let the staff in and players can be treated or removed of the field as needed. Everything is thought in order to protect players health and avoid major problems.
