The four players that FC Barcelona has to sell to sign Memphis Depay

Since the departure of Luis Suárez, Ansu Fati’s role has become really important and the coach tried to transform him into the best partner of Lionel Messi. Now that he is out, he will need a new forward to play alongside the Argentinian and Antoine Griezmann or Ousmane Dembele.

They want Memphis Depay more than ever. The former Manchester United player was already the main target of FC Barcelona, but the problem is that he is way too expensive for a club that is going through a crisis. They will try to seduce him with the idea of playing with Messi, but it is not free.

There are several players that Ronald Koeman does not want and those could be the key to a future Depay transfer. We are talking about Junior Firpo, Martin Braithwaite, Carles Aleña and Samuel Umtiti. If they sell all of these players, the arrival of Memphis could be more likely.

The Dutch player is valued in almost $50 million dollars but after the amazing performance in the last Champions League, Olympique Lyon is willing to get at least $80 million. Can FC Barcelona make such an investment considering the situation in which they are involved?
