A foreign player that it is not on everyone's lips convinces Gerardo Martino to get on the Mexico National team instead of Rogelio Funes Mori. After the European tour where it was shown that El Tri needs urgent one more striker, Tata Martino could call another footballer to be part of it.

In a conversation with the Liga MX channel, Santos Laguna's forward Julio César Furch mentioned that he is already working on the papers to resolve the issue of his naturalization. The footballer said that the foreing players that want to play for Mexico do not want to remove a position, but if they are considered by the coach, they want to contribute and be usefull to the Mexican National team.

Furch said that he had contact with the Mexican National team coach Martino and that he expressed his interest in watching him at El Tri. Martino said to Furch that to be part of the National team he has to mantain his sporting merits as high as the level he shows at Santos Laguna de Torreón.

Gerardo Martino is leaving Javier Chicharito Hernández out of space, a Mexican player who is in the twilight of his career and who seems to have no option to return to El Tri.
