Lionel Messi paralyzed soccer world during the last transfer, after publicly saying that he wanted to leave FC Barcelona after almost 20 years of his arrival. But, president Josep María Bartomeu refuse that possibility and forced the Argentinian to start a trial in order to leave, something that he didn’t want to do.

But, after some months of that critical moment, a conversation that convinced Messi to leave was filtered. As Spanish press reported, everything happened after Barça tied a game against Celta de Vigo during the last minutes of the game and head coach Quique Setién let him know the players how bad the end of the game was.

As it was reported, Messi answered Setién and it was then when the coach told the legend that if he didn’t like his ways than he could leave, and pointed him the exit door of the locker room. After all, Messi finally stayed and the one who left was Setién, who clearly did not fulfill Barcleona’s expectations.

Messi could be still moving from Barcelona, as his contract is very near the end (June 2021), and the chance of making a renewal is not clearly yet and will depend on who is going to be the next president after Bartomeu. Setién, who managed the Spanish side during just 25 games, has been talking about how difficult it was for him to lead Messi.
