The desire of Lionel Messi that FC Barcelona wants to fulfill so that he stays

Lionel Messi is still trying to arrange what he is going to do in his future. The Argentinian legend has a contract remaining with FC Barcelona until June 2021 and is considering the option of leaving, something that he wanted to do during the last transfer window but wasn’t able to after the denial of ex-president Josep María Bartomeu.

Since then, Barcelona have been working on a plan to convince his all-time figure to stay. The financial situation of the Catalan side is not the best so an economical incentive can’t be made for him to stay. But there are some other options with which the club is trying to make him stay.

During the last hours the rumors have grown and it is said that Barcelona is now considering signing Sergio Agüero to reunite him with Messi and force him to stay. One of the options of Messi was to leave to the English side to play with his compatriot, but now another variable appeared.

Agüero will end his contract with Manchester City on the exact same time that Messi ends his with Barcelona. That will give the attacker aged 32 the option of moving if he wishes to do so. After almost 10 years at the club, the possibility for him to leave are certain and Barcelona will try to use this option to convince Messi to stay.
